DDOR Novi Sad is fully committed to the Group’s 2022-2024 Strategic Plan “Opening New Ways” which strengthens the Group’s desire to help achieve the sustainable development goals, using the Group assets as leverage, and employing its business areas to develop new opportunities and face new challenges.

The focus of the strategy is on the management and tracking of the risks and opportunities associated with environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues along the entire insurance and non-insurance value chain in line with the UN 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

When it comes to the rational use of natural resources and environmental protection, DDOR Novi Sad is focused on those topics in which it achieves the most significant impacts on the environment.

Products with ‘E’ or ‘S’ dimension

Having in mind EU Taxonomy reporting directive, the share of the products which covers risks with ‘E’ or ‘S’ dimension, in the Non-life premium portfolio is growing. The last year share of this premium in total non-life premium is nearly 10%.

New Product

In 2024, DDOR prepared and launched a new product, completing a broad range of Life Insurance offerings. By carefully assessing the social needs of our society, and with the goal of offering life insurance with an affordable price but adequate coverage to the broader community, the product “Insurance for the Whole Life” was created.

With an undeniable family need, the product is tailored to all social layers, especially the older population, who need to ensure both their own security and the financial protection of their loved ones during unexpected moments. The need for security and protection is also essential for the population with lower purchasing power, who can secure it through this affordable product.

This product features both a pronounced social (‘S’) and governance (‘G’) component. By respecting governance principles (‘G’) and practices that ensure the company operates ethically, responsible management in the claims settlement process ensures transparency and customer trust.

Principles

In its operations, the Company applies all standards of legal, professional, fair and proper behaviour, strictly observing the regulations, requirements of regulatory bodies, interests of shareholders, clients and other stakeholders.

Anti-corruption principles

The Company’s internal documents (Rules on AML/CFT, “Know your client” Procedure, Instructions for determining beneficial owners, Instructions for checking and verifying the status of an official and Instruction for evaluation of business relationship) were harmonized with the provisions of the law.

Risk Management Principles

Risk Management Strategy is the main document considered to be part of an efficient system of managing the risks that the Company is or may be exposed to. This system also consists of the policies and processes required for continuous identifying, measuring and monitoring of risks, risk management and reporting on certain risks, including their interdependence. Risk management system includes sections:

DDOR TERRA platform

DDOR TERRA platform (mobile and back-office app solutions)

DDOR TERRA is a unique technological solution intended for all agricultural producers, who have now an overview of their active insurance policies on their smartphone, but also can quickly and easily report damage to their field.

The application was developed in cooperation with Bio Sens Institute, a European leader in the development of agri-technological solutions.

The entire application system provides a clearer risk assessment, and in case of damage, a more precise quantification of losses, but also it can monitor growth and progress of insured crops and fruits until the harvest date.

Using the modern GIS (Geographic Information System) models to report and assess damage, satellite photos and advanced filters for a selected plot with insured crops or fruits, DDOR TERRA platform come as our shared goal to provide practical support to the agricultural sector.

External community

Three prizes which represents acknowledgment of external community that DDOR is doing something good.

1. Franko Delneri award given to us by Confindustria Serbia

DDOR as a member of Confindustria Serbia, on October 12, 2022, at the Italian Embassy in Belgrade received special newly established award Franco Delneri for the excellence shown in the ESG category of business standards.

Following our mother company Unipol, DDOR is creating the business environment for adjusting to the high level of ESG standards and makes the difference with the careful governance, environmental and social care and activities with the positive ESG impact.

DDOR have shown high level of understanding, practicing and living the concept of sustainability in so many assed aspects.

2. Green Company of the Year 2023 – environmental conservation

DDOR, due to its exceptional dedication to ecological initiatives and efforts in the field of environmental conservation, has been honoured with the prestigious Green Award, presented by the Chamber of Italian-Serbian Entrepreneurs for 2023.

This award confirms not only DDOR’s commitment to sustainability but also its role as a leader in the business community when it comes to environmental protection. Through the implementation of the best eco practices, DDOR not only preserves the planet for future generations but also sets standards for other companies aspiring to sustainable business practices.

3. ESG Leader – the golden standard of sustainable business

DDOR received prestigious recognition in the field of ESG in 2024.

In the “ESG Leaders” contest, initiated by PwC Serbia, DDOR has been named as the best in the “G” category, or “Responsible Governance and Internal Training”. DDOR also was among the top three companies in the other two categories it entered.
