DDOR INSURANCE AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FLOOD PREVENTION AND PROTECTION WESTERN BALKANS

DDOR Insurance was the only insurance company in Serbia to be honoured with an invitation to participate at the international Conference on Flood prevention and protection Western Balkans, which was held in Belgrade on 6-8 June.

Disaster risk management is part of the programme of RENEXPO Water Management. This is the first international conference on water management, waste waters and related risks in the Western Balkans.

Ivan Grujić, Assistant general director for underwriting and product development spoke on behalf of DDOR about the risks, methods, and needs for insurance against floods and natural disasters. He focused on raising awareness regarding insurance as a prevention system and pointed out the fact that proper insurance and adequate payments relieves the country from many obligations it may have towards natural persons and enterprises.

The conference was organized with the support of the following ministries of the Republic of Serbia: Internal affairs, Agriculture and environmental protection, Mining and energy, and international partners Geman Wather Partnership and TCC Danubius.
