Every year, eight to ten million tons of plastic end up in the world seas and oceans, covering an area of 11,000 square kilometers, similar to the size of smaller countries like Qatar, Jamaica, or the Bahamas.
As a company strongly committed to preserving ecosystems, DDOR osiguranje has joined the global Ogyre community which brings together water, sea, and ocean enthusiasts, fishermen, and conscientious companies with a common goal: protecting the world’s most precious resource—water and oceans.
Last year, DDOR invested in collecting 1,000 kilograms of plastic waste primarily from the Mediterranean Sea, a region closely connected to Serbia. This effort has left a lasting impact on marine conservation.
In celebration of World Ocean Day, DDOR proudly announces that it has invested in collecting an additional 500 kilograms of marine waste in 2024 through Ogyre initiatives.
Through this investment, the company has earned the right to distribute BPA-free o-bottles to its employees, saving an average of 230 plastic bottles (per person) per year and preventing the creation of unnecessary new waste.
These initiatives clearly demonstrate how responsible companies can actively engage in environmental protection. DDOR Insurance continues its mission, reaffirming its leadership in ESG practices.
