History

 

„DDOR Novi Sad“ has almost 80-year long tradition. Its beginnings date back to the end of World War II, namely to 1945, when the State Institute for Insurance and Reinsurance was established.

It has been operating under the present name since 1990, when it was registered as the “Joint Stock Insurance and Reinsurance Company Novi Sad“.

As of January 2008, it has been operating as a member of the „Fondiaria SAI“ group, one of the leading companies in the field of insurance in Italy.

At the beginning of November 2012, the Board of Directors of the Unipol Gruppo Finanziario S.p.A. approved initiation of enforcing management and coordination over the Fondiaria SAI S.p.A. company, as well as over enterprises already within its system of management and coordination, which also includes “DDOR Novi Sad” a.d.o., whereby “DDOR Novi Sad” became a part of the “Gruppo Assicurativo Unipol” group.
