The “DDOR BG Car Show 08” and the 16th International Motorcycle, Quad, Scooter, and Equipment Fair “Motopassion” started today under the slogan “The Long-Lasting Champion”, bringing around 280 exhibitors with more than 60 carmakers and motorcycle brands.
The “DDOR BG Car Show 08” was formally opened by Goran Vesić, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure following the addressing of Aleksandra Đurđević, President of the Serbian Association of Vehicles and parts Importers as well as Francesco Masci, CEO of DDOR osiguranje, representing the General sponsor of this important event over the last decade.
Thanking to the organizers for setting-up yet another significant event for the country and the car industry, Mr. Masci stated:
“I’d like to draw your attention to the issue of cybersecurity, which is getting increasingly complex, due to the fact that many critical and sensitive information and data travel over the Internet, therefore they must be protected against the cyber-attacks, which are becoming more and more frequent and sophisticated,” and added: “with an increasingly connected mobility – that Unipol anticipated as the founder of the Mobility Think Thank, The Urban Mobility Council, with the scientific support of the Polytechnic University of Milan – where a growing number of information is shared with both nearby devices, such as highway toll, wireless keys, mobile phones, and remote devices, such as cloud services, traffic information and so and so forth, cyber-risk is a priority threat to the individuals and the corporations, which is expected to rise and to affect also the vehicles,” and concluded: “automotive industry is going through a phase of profound changes, driven by on the one hand the new regulations on the greenhouse gas emissions connected to the electrification of the vehicles, and on the other by the market demand linked to the Connected and Autonomous Mobility: technology can certainly offer a response to these issues and provide the sector with new tools, as long as the cybersecurity is integrated not only in the new cars, but also in all the infrastructures supporting the mobility services, in order to both head-off the risk of sizeable losses and sensitive data-breach and to secure a safe environment for the people and the assets.”
This year as well, in Hall 1, visitors of the DDOR osiguranje stand will have the opportunity to get competitive offers for insuring their four-wheelers. As the centerpiece of DDOR’s presentation, the “Turning for Good” campaign, visitors will also be able to win valuable prizes by competing in a knowledge quiz, and they will have the opportunity to compete against their opponents in virtual bike rides, while crossing the beautiful landscapes of the Italian Dolomites. When it comes to this interesting ride, winners will be given awards every day, while the best overall winner, at the end of the Fair, will receive a foldable and portable bike.
