The final competition of the DDORaSADnik project was held in the Metropol Hotel in Belgrade on 11th of October. The goal of this project was to draw on the experience and skills of the managers, in order to recognize and highlight young talents in DDOR insurance, as well as to engage them in the strategy of the company, by developing and implementing their ideas in the insurance operations. Inspired by the previous success of “DDOR School of Insurance” and Unipol’s “Next Generation” project, DDORaSADnik gathered eight teams, composed of our young colleagues from different organizational parts, under the coordination and supervision of the mentors who have been assigned to each group.
During the past year, all teams worked hard, with the constant support of mentors and external consultants, and the members of the Steering Committee provided them with additional guidance. They harnessed the support and expertise of their direct managers as well as of the other colleagues in the company who have helped them out to roll-out their ideas, with full understanding of their commitment to this project and the time they had to invest in it.
During this process, the teams showed that they could quickly adapt to new situations, manage workflow even with limited resources and that despite different approaches to solving tasks, it is possible to overcome any challenge together.
Jury members had a difficult task, given the variety and quality of ideas presented by all eight teams.
The winner of the DDORaSADnik competition is the Laddor team, and all team members agree that this was an exceptional experience and a great chance to show their creativity and apply their talents, and further to help implement this project.
The president of Executive Board, Francesco Masci congratulated the winning team, as well as all the participants to this project:
“This project represents exhibit-A of what can happen when so many young and more experienced hungry people come together, striving to deliver and demonstrating curiosity, energy, creativity and positivity. I strongly encourage all the participants and the colleagues to be a builder and to match this ambition with humility, keeping in mind that if you want to take credit, you must first learn to take responsibility and, even more importantly, to take accountability”.
During this event, the attendees had the opportunity to hear the motivational speech of Jelena Erić, the first female cyclist from Serbia who qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris: “Cycling is at first glance an individual sport, but you ride in a team. Each one of you is an important link, as success is achieved by working together. Just as team drivers work for the one who wins, you work together for the success of your company. And remember, persistence and passion are key to achieving your goals.”
The winning team award is a work visit to the parent Unipol Group in Milan in November, where they will have the opportunity to present their project to the colleagues in the Unipol Group.
