As the general sponsor of the 55th International Car Show and the 15th International motorcycle, quad, scooter and equipment show “Motopassion”, which will be held from March 22 to 28, DDOR Osiguranje will present its activities as a leader in investing in road safety in the past period. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience extreme situations firsthand in virtual reality. Moreover, all young drivers – high school graduates will have the opportunity to register and receive free safe driving training at the National driving academy NAVAK. This will result in a good combination of automotive and insurance industries, which play a key role in the economy, the transition to sustainable mobility and the integration of the ESG framework in business strategies and corporate culture, as well as the culture of road safety.
Speaking at the official opening of the Car Show, the Chairman of the Executive Board of DDOR Osiguranje, Francesco Masci thanked and congratulated the organizers and said:
“I was honored to represent DDOR and Unipol at the Serbia-Italy Economic and Scientific Forum held this morning, aimed at establishing deeper political and economic ties between the two countries and focused, among other things, on the green agenda, environmental transition and infrastructure development. Naturally, Unipol and DDOR will play their roles, as evidenced by the ambitious ESG goals set in our Strategic Plan 2022-2024, our sustainability policy and climate strategy, contribution to the sustainable development goals of the 2030 UN Agenda, membership in the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance, establishment of the sustainable mobility think tank called “Urban Mobility Council” etc. Furthermore, at this year’s Belgrade Car Show, I would like to emphasize the issue of road safety and the ever-growing concern that road accidents are the leading cause of death among children and young adults worldwide. Each year nearly 1.3 million people die in road accidents, which is why it can be called a silent epidemic on wheels that costs most countries 3% of their GDP. Namely, the figures for the Western Balkans for 2022 show an increase in the number of deaths per million people compared to 2021, while in Serbia it is almost double the EU average. This is precisely why a stronger partnership between the public and private sectors could contribute significantly to solving the problem of road safety, and DDOR will continue to work towards this goal, thanks also to the long-standing partnership with NAVAK Academy, which has helped us organize the VR experience for visitors to the fair. It will give them the opportunity to experience extreme traffic situations firsthand and raise their awareness of road safety.”
You will find DDOR Osiguranje, the general sponsor of the 15th International motorcycles, quads, scooters and equipment show “Motopassion”, at its usual place in Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair. In addition to special terms and conditions for conclusion of Casco policies at the fair, visitors can expect interesting activities and prizes for all those who achieve the best results in the DDOR quiz on traffic rules. Moreover, the company will present the results of its campaign “For a forest in your area”, which will continue and help create green zones in many other cities in Serbia, in addition to the selected ten cities.
Let’s not forget that DDOR has been investing in promoting road safety and educating all road users for years. In the last ten years, it has invested more than 3 million euros to ensure that thousands of drivers have undergone training at the National Driving Academy NAVAK. This year, in cooperation with this institution, training courses can be attended at the Car Show and special training courses have been designed for high school graduates who hold a probationary driver’s license and who register at the NAVAK stand during the show.
